Injuring Eternity

“As if you could kill time without injuring eternity” – Henry David Thoreau

We have been killing time, and injuring eternity!  It has been a few months since our last update but the adventures have continued.  From island camping in Ocracoke, tubing down the James river, to hiking the Cumberland Gap.  Life has been exciting.

We’ve spent our last few weeks in the Navy with our close friends, trying to get as much time in as possible.  We had a truly wonderful weekend up on the farm in Tennessee.  Four days with close friends really just sucking the marrow out of life, truly enjoying each other and nature.  We had one last great weekend with the camping crew, good food, good conversation, and a little hurricane dodging exercise!

Now we are on the road.  Life moves on, and so do we.  We have loved our time in the Navy, loved the lifestyle, loved the friends we’ve made during that journey but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t happy it’s over.  No more deployments, no more teary departures, no more sitting alone during the holidays, no more missed birthdays.  Its finally over.  We look forward to the adventure ahead, and from now on the updates will come more frequently.

Right now we are in Panama City Beach, Florida.  Next week will bring on St. Augustine, Key West, and the Everglades.  Thanks to all our friends, and we know we will be seeing some of you more and more throughout the years!!!

Adi Update:  Our rambling rogue friend has been living life the way it should be.  Traveling, meeting people, enjoying life!  A brief update, and this is very brief compared to his adventures, he has been through Indiana, South Dakota, Montana, Canada, and about a dozen other places I don’t know!  But, he has finally gotten one of his wishes answered, a buggy ride with the Amish!!!

I’ve lived in the US my whole life and truly have not experienced one quarter of what he has in this great country.

We look forward to meeting back up with Adi, and as always, if you see this guy playing harmonica with his thumb out, pick him up!  Join in his adventure!!!
